This category includes a selection of the main quasi-public, government, intergovernmental, and multilateral institutions that have a say in formulating policy and projects in the least developed countries. These institutions are responsible for a large proportion of the funding of the organisations that Development Ratings’ recommends. They also help mobilise risk capital in areas where the private sector is not willing to step in. Knowing what these institutions do is fundamental to understanding the context that the organisations we recommend work in.
