MYC4 was seed funded with c. EUR150000 in January 2006 out of the 2005 profits of Kjaer Group. It has since been funded by a grant from DANIDA, the Danish International Development Agency. EUR3m has been invested in setting up and marketing the platform primarily by companies affiliated with Mads Kjaer and the Kjaer Group.
• In 2008, MYC4 raised EUR2.7m from a narrow outside investor base at a pre-money valuation of EUR10m for the company.
• MYC4 is currently in the process of raising EUR5.3m from outside investors at a pre-money valuation of EUR25m.
• A third round of fundraising is planned for 2010.
