Africa Now
Outlook

Investment in fundraising has increased in last years to diversify Africa Now’s sources of income. Time is being spent building relationships with corporations due to increased interest in CSR (corporate social responsibility) – this is very appropriate given Africa Now’s business development focus. The charity has good relationships with trusts and is seeking to tap in to some institutional funding sources that are coming on-stream that relate to business development work.

Funds are being sought to develop the Rwanda coffee cooperatives (~£100,000/yr for 3 years), the Zambia organic vegetables programme (~£130,000), building the ethical business services (£35,000/yr for 2 years), and for developing the Devil’s Claw work in Zimbabwe (£70-100,000/yr for 5 years).
